Grayling, Michigan

The Grayling area is a beautiful destination located in the “up north” area of Michigan. It is approximately three-hours from the metro Detroit, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, and Flint areas. The region is well known for its scenic beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities. Whether you plan on coming for a weekend, a week, or an extended stay, let us introduce you to what we have to offer during the winter.

The Grayling area offers six groomed ski areas and miles of ungroomed public lands for cross country skiing, ski joring, snowshoeing, and adventure skiing. Cross Country Ski Headquarters, Forbush Corner, Hanson Hills, Hartwick Pines State Park and Mason Tract Pathway offer over 100 K of well-groomed, scenic beginner to advanced trails.

The Grayling area offers miles of exceptionally well-groomed cross country ski trails for the novice to the expert, and ungroomed, pristine trails for snowshoeing or back-country skiing. There are over a dozen motels, lodges, and cabins to choose from in the Grayling area. Most are locally owned and operated.
